# Google Search Console API and MCP documentation BasecampSEO is a Google Search Console analytics product. It stores search performance beyond Google's 16 month retention window, and adds movers, brand and non brand segmentation, page groups, annotations and indexing coverage on top of the raw Search Console data. The API and MCP server give you all of that outside the dashboard. Read-only, available on paid Pro and Agency plans. ## Guides - [Filter pages by position](https://basecampseo.com/docs/filter-by-position.md). Search Console cannot filter by average position. Find the pages ranking 11 to 20. ## For developers - [Search Console MCP server](https://basecampseo.com/docs/mcp.md). Connect ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or Gemini CLI to your data and ask questions in plain language. One URL, no code. - [Search Console REST API](https://basecampseo.com/docs/api.md). Pull performance, queries, pages, movers and indexing coverage into your own scripts and reports. ## What you can answer with it - Which pages and queries gained or lost the most clicks against last month. - How branded and non branded traffic are trending apart. - Which pages Google has crawled but not indexed, ranked by the traffic at stake. - How every site in an agency portfolio performed, in one pass. - What changed on the week traffic moved, using the team's own annotations. ## Before you start 1. Create a key at https://basecampseo.com/app/settings/api. It is shown once. 2. Send it as `Authorization: Bearer bcs_live_...`. 3. Search Console publishes with a delay of about two days, so the newest days are always empty. Every date range here ends two days ago by default. Base URL: https://api.basecampseo.com
